Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) to join our team as an independent contractor. This position is ideal for a motivated, professional, and warm counsellor who is looking for flexibility and a collaborative environment.
We are especially looking for counsellors with evening and/or weekend availability, as these are the times when client demand is highest.
Who You Are:
You love to work with adults, individuals and couples, and are open to family sessions when it seems appropriate
We are seeking a trauma-focused therapist with advanced training beyond CBT, who values a relational and integrative approach. The ideal candidate embraces long-term, in-depth therapy rather than a short-term, symptom-focused model.
Have a growth mind set
You love learning and pursuing further training (I.e.. EMDR, IFS, DBT etc.)
Able to see clients in our North Vancouver location with the flexibility of also providing virtual sessions. (A majority of our clients prefer in person session)
Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes and records
It’s important to uphold professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice in session and out of session. Pursuing peer consultation and regular clinical supervision.
We are looking for someone who values collaboration through peer consultation and team meetings, and who is committed to ongoing professional growth through training, supervision, and experience.
You’re interested in or would be open to providing other resources for clients to experience healing. For example, workshops, groups, resources.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field
Registered and in good standing with BCACC (RCC designation)
Liability insurance coverage
Strong clinical skills and commitment to client-centered care
A minimum of 10 client hours a week
