Reconnect, Realign, Rebuild: Your Path to Healing Starts Here

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy at Soma Clinical Counselling offers a supportive, trauma-informed space to slow down and come into deeper relationship with yourself. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that feel hard to shift alone. In our work together, we gently explore these experiences, honouring both your emotional experience and your nervous system responses.

Our approach is collaborative and paced with care. We pay attention to what is happening in the present moment—what your body is communicating, what emotions arise, and where you may feel activated or disconnected. From this place, we work gently to support your system in building greater capacity, steadiness, and choice. Over time, this can help you feel more grounded in yourself and more secure in your relationships.

Individual therapy may support you with anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or a general sense of feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. Rather than focusing only on insight or understanding, our work also supports embodied change—helping you shift patterns at a deeper level so that change feels more integrated and lasting.

Couples Therapy

Have you and your partner felt emotionally disconnected from one another? Tired of falling into the same continuous cycle of conversations, fights, and behaviours.

Through relationship counselling, you work towards rebuilding and strengthening your relationship or making any other necessary changes to work through problems and conflicts that can arise.

Through couples counselling at Soma Clinical Counselling, we can make both partners feel safe in the therapy room, without taking sides. Creating a space where both of you feel able to speak openly, and where you can work toward hearing the other person’s point of view without getting triggered. Ideally, with the therapist’s help, you will find some common ground and end up in a stronger position to move forward together in your relationship.

Our work focuses on helping you:

  • Cultivating more connection

  • Recurring conflict: understanding the cycle you and your partner get caught in

  • Life after infidelity

  • Rebuilding trust and intimacy

  • Exploring underlying attachment wounds and relational triggers

  • Understand the cycle you and your partner get caught in

Family Therapy

Families can carry deep love alongside stress, conflict, and emotional pain. At Soma, family therapy creates a space where each person can feel heard, understood, and supported while working toward healthier communication, stronger relationships, and deeper connection.

Whether your family is navigating conflict, emotional distance, life transitions, parenting challenges, trauma, grief, or breakdowns in communication, therapy offers an opportunity to slow down reactive patterns and better understand what each family member may be experiencing beneath the surface

Together, we work to:

  • Improve communication and emotional understanding

  • Strengthen connection and attachment within the family

  • Create healthier ways of responding during conflict or stress

  • Explore family dynamics and relational patterns with compassion

  • Foster safety, trust, and mutual respect within relationships
