Nina Bell Peters
MSW, RCC
*Nina is currently accepting new clients with availability online and in-person in North Vancouver.
As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I have extensive experience in the field of mental health and addictions, supporting a wide range of individuals — including young adults, mothers in recovery, people experiencing homelessness, and those navigating health care crisis. I commonly work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma.
Utilizing a strengths-based and empowerment-focused lens, my approach is eclectic, creative, and collaborative; drawing from modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. I also value the wisdom our bodies hold and incorporate somatic awareness into my work.
Helping clients foster resilience, build self-awareness, and draw on their own internal capacity for change, each session is tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to approach vulnerability, explore your inner world, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
EDUCATION
I hold a Master of Social Work bringing both a clinical and deeply human lens to my work as a therapist.
Prior to my Master's degree, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Anthropology, which provided me with a rich understanding of how culture, relationships, and lived experience shape who we are. This foundation allows me to approach therapy with curiosity and respect for each person’s unique story, integrating evidence-based practice with an appreciation for the broader context of clients’ lives.
This blend of academic training and practical experience allows me to bring both compassion and clinical insight to my work, helping individuals navigate challenges and move toward meaningful growth.
