About Hayley

Hi, I’m Hayley, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Certified Somatic Therapy Foundations Practitioner (CSTFP) based in North Vancouver, serving clients across the Lower Mainland and virtually throughout British Columbia.

I specialize in couples therapy, trauma therapy, eating disorder recovery, and emotional regulation. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in painful relationship patterns, overwhelmed by intense emotions, constantly second-guessing themselves, and exhausted from trying to keep the peace, meet everyone else’s needs, or hold everything together. They often find themselves living in states of hypervigilance, codependency, people-pleasing, and emotional burnout, feeling disconnected from who they truly are and struggling to live a life that feels authentic and aligned with their values.

My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment theory, Somatic therapy, and trauma-informed care. I help couples rebuild trust, improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and break recurring cycles of conflict and disconnection. For individuals, I focus on healing trauma, developing nervous system regulation, improving relationships, and creating lasting emotional resilience.

I also work with clients who struggle with emotional dysregulation; those who feel emotions intensely, experience anxiety, overwhelm, relationship insecurity, or difficulty feeling safe in their own bodies. Together, we explore not only the thoughts behind these patterns but also how they are held in the nervous system and shaped by early attachment experiences.

I believe healing happens in the context of safety, connection, and collaboration. Therapy with me is active, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. My goal is not simply to help you cope, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, heal the underlying wounds driving your patterns, and build relationships, with yourself and others, that feel secure, authentic, and fulfilling.

It’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they move from survival toward connection, confidence, and lasting change.

What I Do in My Free Time

When I am not counselling or working behind the scenes of Soma, you can find me travelling a new country, or snuggling up with my four legged friend, Mortimer either reading a good book or binging a show!
