At times, unexpected challenges or crises may arise between sessions that feel difficult to manage on your own. In these situations, brief phone support may be available, depending on your counsellor’s availability. Any between-session calls are billed on a prorated, per-minute basis.
To protect your privacy and ensure you receive the best possible support, we ask that email communication be limited to scheduling and administrative matters. Sensitive or personal concerns are best explored during your sessions, where your counsellor can fully support you.

Many people experience a sense of relief after their very first counselling session, especially when they feel heard and understood. As therapy continues, these benefits often build over time, leading to deeper and more meaningful change.
Typically most clients require a minimum of 12-20 sessions and can range upwards.
-
As you begin to explore the deeper layers of your experiences and relationships, emotions that may have been pushed aside or difficult to access can start to emerge. These feelings can sometimes feel intense, unfamiliar, or unsettling.
While this can be challenging, it is also an important part of the healing process. Making space for these emotions allows them to be understood, processed, and integrated in a way that supports meaningful and lasting change.
Your therapist will work closely with you to ensure this exploration feels contained, supportive, and attuned to your capacity, so you can move forward with a greater sense of clarity and stability.
