About Kenya
For over a decade, I have supported individuals navigating complex life experiences, including trauma, intimate partner violence, abuse, addictions, mental health challenges, and significant life transitions. My professional experience has allowed me to work alongside youth, adults, and individuals from diverse backgrounds, including students, Indigenous communities, and people navigating challenging circumstances. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the resilience people carry and the importance of creating spaces where individuals feel safe, respected, and truly heard.
I approach counselling from a trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and strengths-based perspective. I believe every part of you has a story, and therapy can be a place to explore those stories with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to reconnect with yourself, rebuild self-compassion, and move out of survival mode while developing a deeper understanding of your emotions, patterns, and relationships.
My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles. I use a collaborative and flexible approach, tailoring our work together to your unique needs and goals. Together, we may explore the impact of past experiences, develop practical coping skills, process difficult emotions, and challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you.
I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, attachment wounds, emotional regulation, self-worth and life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals impacted by abuse, intimate partner violence, and relational trauma, while helping clients understand how their experiences have shaped the way they see themselves and the world around them.
I believe therapy should be a space where every part of you is welcome. My hope is that you leave our work together feeling understood, supported, and empowered to rewrite the stories that have shaped you. Together, we can create space for healing, build upon your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more aligned, connected, and meaningful.
What I Do in My Free Time
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors. Hanging by the ocean or hiking. I love yoga, surfing and being creative in any way I can!
