Finding the right counsellor can make all the difference in your healing journey. At Soma Clinical Counselling, we believe that therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable, understood, and connected with the person sitting across from you.
As our practice continues to grow, we're excited to introduce our team of Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) and Registered Social Workers (RSW) who provide compassionate, evidence-based counselling services for individuals, couples, families, teens, and young adults throughout North Vancouver and across British Columbia through virtual counselling.
Why Choosing the Right Counsellor Matters
Every person brings a unique story, set of experiences, and goals to counselling. That's why we have intentionally built a team with diverse specialties, approaches, and areas of focus.
Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, trauma, burnout, self-esteem concerns, addiction recovery, grief, or life transitions, our goal is to connect you with a counsellor who is the right fit for your needs.
A Growing Team Dedicated to Your Well-Being
Hayley Booker, RCC
"The goal of therapy isn't to erase your past. It's to help your mind and body recognize that what happened then is not what's happening now, so you can respond to the present with freedom instead of survival."- Hayley Booker
Founder and Registered Clinical Counsellor
As the founder of Soma Clinical Counselling, Hayley is passionate about helping individuals and couples create meaningful, lasting change. Her work focuses on attachment, relationships, trauma, emotional regulation, and helping clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns.
Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and attachment-based approaches, Hayley supports clients in strengthening relationships, healing past wounds, and building greater emotional resilience.
Nina Bell Peters, RCC & RSW
"There are no bad parts, only parts carrying burdens they were never meant to carry alone." -Nina
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) & Registered Social Worker (RSW)
Nina provides counselling for teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges.
She has a special interest in working with men who are new to counselling and may feel uncertain about seeking support. Nina creates a welcoming, down-to-earth environment where clients can explore challenges, develop practical coping strategies, and build confidence in themselves and their relationships.
Kenya Gader, RSW
“I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be seen, heard, and accepted exactly as we are. My goal is to create a space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity, compassion, and hope." — Kenya
Registered Social Worker (RSW)
Kenya offers a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to counselling. She enjoys supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges.
Her goal is to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and create healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. Kenya is particularly passionate about supporting young adults as they navigate uncertainty, identity development, and major life changes.
Shay Villa, RCC
"The goal isn't to become less yourself. It's to build a life where your strengths are celebrated, your challenges are supported, and you no longer measure your worth by productivity alone."- Shay
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Shay Villa is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with themselves through compassion, curiosity, and authentic connection. She believes that therapy should be a space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported, without judgment.
Shay works with adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She has a special interest in supporting neurodivergent clients, helping them move away from self-criticism and toward greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and confidence.
